Race Training




I'm not a runner.  Running is something I've struggled with for a long time.  Even though I was an athletic kid, I always struggled running that stupid mile for the Presidential Fitness Test.  That being said, I like a challenge.  My husband is a runner so training for a race with him works well because it keeps us both accountable.  We ran the Fairfield 5K in July and are now training for the SoNo Half Marathon in October.



I'm a little behind in my training for the race (5 weeks away!!) due to an injury, so my longest run so far was only 7 miles.  It's a little tough waking up every morning at 5am to run or workout, but running to the beach and seeing the sunrise is always a pretty amazing reward for waking up early!
